Business Cards

I finally designed and ordered business cards today through Pepperdine, which is a company our store uses to outsource offset printing because well, lets face it, digital printing suuuuuucks in comparison.
They’ll be printed with thermography on laid ivory cardstock. woooo classy bitch!

anyways, I did the scratchy old school comic text along with the weird RE logo.

It’s Infectious!

So I got linked to Infectious Car Art today, and it looks like something I’m going to try my hand at. They take submissions, with a $100 and if it’s really good and the best design they pick in a month you get $500, plus 5% of sales of your design, which for products that sell around 300$ a pop, that doesn’t sound so bad. So I’m working on a little sumthin’ sumthin’ that I’ll hopefully finish this week.
It involves wasps, me, doing something insect related? never! So i’ve been drawing 2 wasps all day, yeah, 2…i have about 3 more to do, then i have to do the coloring and placement on the mock up. And may I say that their template is one of the best i’ve ever seen? It’s very very thorough and helpful.

So I finally got Lightbox working on my portfolio, like, my own real portfolio, not a carbonmade. Check it out here!!!! eeeeeeeeeeee girly noise!! I’m like a grown up now or something. I dunno. It’s still a work in progress.
Still waiting to hear back about my shirt designs. silly bands taking forever to decide. In semi related news, I happened to see the I Saw A Ghost shirts, that they probably got done for free earlier today, holy shit, take a look for yourselfhere. Ugh, god those designs are horrible, seriously? They don’t even reply to my emails now, redik.
Anyways, sorry about the tangent, there’s stuff up in the store now, other than just a scary vagina shirt, now you can get a scary vagina on canvas, or on a heavy coated bond. As well as a print of my Prismatic Beauty design. Sooooooo go pick something up, everything will be printed and shipped by me so you know it’s in moderately good hands.

It’s Been Awhile…

I’ve been busy. Did some shirts for Ricochet Management last week for the bands Sea of Treachery, Winds of Plague and Abigail Williams.

Sea of Treachery designs, I did a few different colorways.

and Winds of Plague, kind of generic, but i think it works.

I started redo-ing the actual site, and now i’m trying to figure out how to propagate a blog page using wordpress. I’ve heard there’s a way to feed the RSS on here to aggregate…i don’t understand code though.

See what I did there?
Anywho, started a hand drawn quick RE logo. Since I’m trying to brand myself in that retro-50′s era drawing/painting monster/EC style, I thought this is a good fit. Let me know what you think!

I noticed I’m getting a decent handful of hits a day on here, and I have NO IDEA who reads this. so you should let me know, k? It takes like 3 seconds to leave a comment.

Here’s the start of the new branding, it’s 3:20 and i should probably get some sleep.

Sci Fi Redux

So I lost the first round of the Emptees Tee-Off a few months ago. No hard feelings, but the topic was Sci-Fi and i did this epic full front print and i lost to a drawing of Robby the robot….yeah..i don’t get it. Anyyyyyways.
Here’s that design.

Well, since I’ve started drawing, I decided to redo it, only hand drawing and inking it in Manga Studio.
Here’s some work in progress shots.

hope you like it, and i hope that somebody that wants to buy it likes it haha.
